Now UV protection lens filters are not only limited to blocking ultraviolet light, but are more commonly used to protect your lens. UV protection lens filters can protect the lens with multi-layer coating and are also easier to clean. It is a safe barrier for your lens when you are in a harsh environment where the lens can be compromised.

Are MC UV protection lens filters worth using?

1. What is the MC UV filter?
MC UV is a UV protective lens filter with a multi-layer coating. UV light is invisible to the naked eye UV waves are invisible to the human eye. However, photographic film is very sensitive to UV light. When shooting outdoors, UV light can easily produce a blue haze or stray light.  UV protection lens filters are fitted in front of the camera lens to block UV light.  and reduce its effect on the image.

2.Do UV filters reduce image quality ?

The sensor in a digital camera can handle most of the effects of UV light very well, but ultraviolet light still have an effect on digital photos . mainly affecting the camera’s  white balance of the image. It often makes an image bluer. e.g. on the beach or mountain top at a higher elevation.  The majority of modern film cameras will not be affected by UV light , when a UV protection lens filter is used  to protect your expensive lens . UV filter protects your lens from dirt, scratches, fingerprints, and accidental damage. Some people feel that using a UV filter will reduce the quality image, but a high quality UV filter will have a minimal effect on the original performance of the lens.

3.What is the purpose of UV filters for cameras?

Some people feel that using a filter which ultraviolet light blocking glasses will reduce the image quality, this depends on the quality of the UV filter used. With kfconcept UV filters, the 99.9% transmission rate of the filter ensures without colour cast and image quality loss (picture realism), and the multi-layer coated HD optics use K&F Concept's exclusive coating technology, with reflections rate lower 0.15%  to ensure ultra-high light transmission, reducing glare and ghosting that can occur when the filter is mounted to the lens, and having original performance with little or no impact. High quality UV filters provide with more reliable support for photographers' creations.

Both beginners and professional photographers are keen to use UV filters for two main reasons:

3.1.Protective lenses.

UV filter helps keep the lens front group camera safe and clean. It keeps out dust and prevents accidental scratches when shooting in harsh environments, allowing photographers to be brave in their shooting plans.

3.2.Block out UV light

UV filter helps to reduce the blue cast caused by UV light when shooting seaside, mountainous snowfields and exposed areas.  They also help to improve image quality.

4.Should I protect my lens with a UV filter?

It is essential to use a UV filter to protect the lens in hash outdoor conditions and should also be protected with camera cover.UV filters are necessary to protect your lens from the expensive lens repair costs. Both professional and beginner photographers should purchase these filters to protect their working partner——camera lenses. Maintaining photographic equipment is a daily routine for every photographer and it is obviously easier to clean a piece of removable glass than to clean the elements in the lens.
