According to www.sigmaphoto.com , Sigma will release a new ART series lens on June 3: Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN ART. It is reported that this lens is an autofocus, full-frame lens.
The focal length and aperture of this lens are very special, and it is an internal zoom. The lens is 151mm (6") long with a diameter of 88mm (3.5") and weighs 960g (33.9 oz).
To me personally, this focal length seems very strange at first glance, but it may be surprisingly practical. Judging from the samples released by www.dpreview.com, this lens performs very well in both portraits and landscapes.
The Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN Art lens has a suggested retail price of $1349.

Another lens released in June is Tamron’s Tamron 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD. This will also be a full frame lens. The lens is equipped with a VXD linear motor focusing mechanism and has a Tamron VC image stabilization mechanism. As a lens with a wide range of focal lengths and powerful functions, it weighs only an astonishing 665g.
Tamron has not yet announced the price of this lens, which will be released on June 6. It will be a $799 full-frame lens for Sony E mount.
I believe that after the launch of these two lenses, photographers using Sony E-mount cameras will reconsider their lens configuration.
