Panasonic LUMIX new camera may be equipped with electronic ND

Electronic ND? It is rumored that Panasonic LUMIX new camera may be equipped with electronic ND function, and it is expected to release a new L-mount compact camera on May 13. At present, it is rumored that a manufacturer will soon release a new camera equipped with electronic ND, which is likely to be a new camera of Panasonic Lumix. Previously, LUMIX also had patent news of electronic ND. The addition of electronic ND enables seamless and precise exposure control under changing light conditions, which is also a feature expected by many LUMIX users.

Electronic ND (electronic neutral density filter) is an electronic light reduction technology integrated into the camera. It controls the amount of light entering the sensor by adjusting the filter density to achieve flexible exposure control.

Dynamically adjust the light reduction intensity electronically without physically changing the filter. ‌Supports light attenuation from ND 0.6 (about 1 stop) to ND 2.1 (about 7 stops), and some models can be expanded to ND128 (such as Fuji GFX Eterna).

Compared with traditional ND filters, electronic ND can achieve seamless switching and is suitable for rapidly changing light environments.
