(About the backlog of orders for the X100VI)
The number of orders is unusually high, and we are doing our best to meet these orders. We have been shipping continuously and will continue to do our best.
The X100VI has sold as many units in one year as the X100 series did in three to four years.
(Are some users concerned about autofocus performance?)
We recognize that there is still room for improvement in autofocus. We don't think it is yet to the point where we can say it is good enough, so we are working hard to improve it every day.
(About the X-Pro series and X-E series)
Our plans have not changed, and we plan to release a successor to the X-Pro3, but the exact date has not yet been determined. Of course, the same is true for the X-E series. We are not giving up on this series.
(Who is the target user of the X-E?)
Those who like rangefinder-style cameras, who don't have a specific subject, who enjoy daily photography and use it as a snapshot camera.
(The future of cameras that focus on stills?)
I think it is entirely possible to improve cameras that are specifically aimed at stills. For example, due to the increase in hybrid cameras like the X-H, we could change the X-T5's display to a tilting type instead of a full-angle flip type. In the future, there may be further differentiation between models dedicated to stills and hybrid cameras.
Due to the delay in the launch of the new X-Pro and X-E cameras, there were some voices worried that the two series would be cancelled, but now it is clear that they will continue to move forward, so fans of the two series can rest assured for the time being. However, since the specific date has not yet been determined, the release may take some time. Positive comments were given to cameras that focus on stills, so we can expect that there will be product lines for cameras dedicated to stills shooting and hybrid cameras in the future.
